Punto Banco Practices and Method
Punto Banco Policies
Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, but the beginning digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus six = 11; ignore the first ‘1′).
A additional card may be given using the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank achieves a total of 8 or 9, both players hold.
- If the player has five or less, she hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to see if the bank holds or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The greater of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19:20 (equal money minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is recorded and paid off once you quit the game so ensure you have funds left just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8:1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor bet as ties occur less than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. eight to one)
Gambled on properly punto banco offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method
As with all games punto banco has a handful of familiar misconceptions. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Recording previous outcomes on a chart is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.
The most common and probably the most successful method is the one-three-two-six plan. This tactic is employed to maximize profits and limit risk.
Start by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain six on the game table, pull off four so you have two on the third round. Should you win the 3rd bet, deposit 2 on the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial round, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial bet followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Wins on the 1st two with a defeat on the third provides you with a gain of two. And success on the initial three with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you are able to give up the 2nd wager five instances for every successful streak of four wagers and still experience no loss.
