Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are worth face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the cards, although the first number is dropped. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus 6 = 11; dump the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt using the rules below:

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games punto banco has a few established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events yet to happen.
