Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are said to be worth their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply act as the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and five results in a total score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be played depending on the following codes:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good wager as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are remarkably better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)
Played properly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings.
