Baccarat Regulations and Method
Punto Banco Rules
Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the total of the cards, however the 1st digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and six has a total of one (five plus six equals eleven; dump the initial ‘1′).
A third card may be given using the following rules:
- If the player or bank achieves a value of 8 or 9, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has less than five, she hits. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on a total lower than five. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house holds or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The bigger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19 to 20 (equal cash less a five percent rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you leave the game so ensure you have funds left over just before you quit). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for a tie typically pays 8:1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 rounds. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. eight to one)
Gambled on properly punto banco offers relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Course of Action
As with all games punto banco has quite a few established false impressions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future events. Keeping track of past results at a table is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most established and probably the most favorable plan is the one-three-two-six tactic. This method is deployed to maximize winnings and limit losses.
Start by wagering 1 unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a grand total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you succeed you will hold six on the game table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the third round, put down two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.
Should you lose on the 1st round, you take a loss of one. A profit on the initial bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Success on the 1st two with a defeat on the third gives you with a profit of two. And wins on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Succeeding at all four wagers gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you will be able to lose the second round 5 times for every favorable run of 4 wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
