Baccarat Practices and Plan

Baccarat Principles

Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are counted at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the cards, however the beginning digit is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (five plus six equals eleven; ignore the 1st ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt based on the following rules:

- If the gambler or bank gets a total of 8 or 9, the two players hold.

- If the player has less than 5, she hits. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player stands, the house takes a card on a value less than five. If the player hits, a guide is used to determine if the house stays or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so make sure you have money left before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pay 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Played properly baccarat provides fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few accepted false impressions. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Tracking previous results on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most acknowledged course of action is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This plan is used to maximize earnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will retain 6 on the table, pull off four so you have 2 on the third round. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, deposit 2 on the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial wager followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning all four rounds gives you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd bet 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 rounds and still break even.
