Punto Banco Rules and Method
Punto Banco Rules
Punto banco is enjoyed with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, but the beginning number is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; ignore the first ‘1′).
A additional card can be dealt depending on the rules below:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two players stand.
- If the gambler has less than five, he hits. Players stands otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a table is used to decide if the banker holds or takes a card.
Punto Banco Odds
The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5% rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you leave the game so ensure you still have money left over just before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)
Bet on correctly punto banco offers relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Scheme
As with all games Baccarat has a handful of accepted myths. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.
The most common and almost certainly the most favorable strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This technique is used to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Start by placing 1 chip. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the table for a sum total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will have 6 on the game table, take away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you come away with a win on the third bet, add two to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.
If you do not win on the initial wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first bet followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you break even. Winning at all four bets gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to lose the second wager five times for each successful run of 4 bets and in the end, break even.
