Baccarat Rules

Punto banco is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are worth their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the 1st number is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; dump the first ‘one’).

A third card can be given out using the rules below:

- If the player or banker achieves a score of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler stays, the banker takes a card on a total less than 5. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to decide if the bank stays or hits.

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (even payout less a five percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you quit the game so make sure you have funds left before you head out). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Punto Banco Strategy
