Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are counted at their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just appear as the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven and five gives a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie by and large pays eight to one and sometimes 9 to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are emphatically better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When played effectively, baccarat presents fairly good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of old results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This plan is employed to amplify earnings and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
