Baccarat Rules
Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are said to be at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just depict the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five produces a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given out depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, each players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pay eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. However odds are supremely better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)
When played smartly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Keeping track of past results on a chart is a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-six method. This schema is employed to build up successes and reducing risk.
commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
