Baccarat Rules
Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are of their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they strictly act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 gives a value of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be given out depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays eight to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Regardless odds are significantlly better – nine to one versus eight to 1)
Played properly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of old results on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six method. This process is employed to build up payout and lowering risk.
commence by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
