Baccarat Rules and Strategy

Baccarat Principles

Baccarat banque is played with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are valued at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, however the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a value of 1 (5 plus six equals 11; drop the 1st ‘1′).

A 3rd card will be dealt using the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a score of eight or nine, both players hold.

- If the player has 5 or less, she hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler holds, the house takes a card on a total less than five. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to determine if the house stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The better of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you depart the game so be sure to still have funds around just before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties happen less than 1 in every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Bet on correctly baccarat chemin de fer provides generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Method

As with all games Baccarat has quite a few familiar misconceptions. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events about to happen. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and possibly the most acknowledged course of action is the one-three-two-six method. This plan is employed to build up profits and limit losses.

Start by wagering one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum total of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd round. Should you win the third bet, deposit two to the 4 on the game table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a loss of one. A profit on the first wager followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the initial two with a loss on the third provides you with a take of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you will be able to lose the second bet five instances for each successful streak of four wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
