Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are of face value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only portray the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … five has a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. practices:

- If the player or banker has a total score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pays 8 to one but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Even so odds are greatly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat presents pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future events. Monitoring of old results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-2-6 technique. This technique is used to pump up winnings and minimizing risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
