Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are counted at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five has a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. practices:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie generally pays out at 8 to one and on occasion nine to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Even so odds are decidedly better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)
When played accurately, baccarat provides relatively good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and possibly most successful technique is the one-3-two-six technique. This process is used to magnify winnings and controlling risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
